Making 3D Printed Swimbait - Assembling And Painting

In this video i'm showing you how to assemble and paint a lure i designed.

All painting was done with cheap spraycans.
All you need;
-0,8mm stainless steel spring wire
-5mm fish eyes
-5 and 3 mm nails
-fine mesh and tape ( for painting)
-White primer
-Aluminum metallic paint
-Anthracite/ dark gray paint
-Red
-Clear coat (high gloss)

Thanks for your comment and the kind words! I'd be happy to help with any further questions you might have. Besides printed lures being cheap, catching fish on something homemade is way better fun and more rewarding 👍 I have a new lure coming out soon, once the testing is done.

I have a question. Are you sure it would hold the fish, since the line wouldn't be attached directly to the hook? I mean it's all glued together, but would it withstand a big fish?

I've pulled on the lure with a pulling scale and it took 12KG (26 pounds) to pull the twist wires out. With the drag set correctly, i'm sure it'll hold up against decent sized fish. Won't be catching any sharks though, i'm sure 😁

Really good job on the lures and explaining how to. Im going to try the lure but will be using a fdm printer should be interesting. How does the resin hold up?

To be honest, i quit resin printing. The lures start cracking after a couple weeks and there's nothing you can do about it. Now i focus on wooden lures. If you want to print lures, FDM is definitely better than resin. Less detail but the lures will be stronger.

@@devilsaint_8652 Yes, there's a couple videos on my channel. My channel is about making lures that are doable for everyone, right now mostly wooden lures but i plan to make some spinners, flies, etc. in the future, maybe even some more printed ones 👍
