That bait would work really well for saltwater fishing. Especially when fish are keyed in on squid.

Amazing! Is there a way to download the big bait model? I really want to make a bait like this for fishing the ocean. Rockfish and lingcod would love this bait. TIA

I haven't uploaded this bait anywhere yet but drop me an email from my website and I''ll see about letting you test it out.

Curious if you can design an injection mold similar to the Manns Augertail bait? I bought and printed your Hex Ned Wriggler and it shoots great.

Sorry... unfortunately I don't have time to do any other custom molds right now... Thanks for the support.

Just Got Into 3D Printing and luers what is the filler used, silicone, rubber, ? Marbe a video on just the (resin).
@TheNeverendingProjectsList Жыл бұрын
The actual baits are made from a product called plastisol. There are much better KZbinrs out there that explain using it better than I ever could. Check out Chris from www.youtube.com/@WorldsWorstFishing that's where I picked up a lot of info from.

Have you look into resin 3d printer, there is a resin that have a HDT of 238 °C. Would make it perfect for this and the insane low layer height make it even better. I am thinking of getting one exactly for this on top of having the possibility of insanely clean print when needed.
@TheNeverendingProjectsList3 жыл бұрын
I have thought about it but more for hard baits as I think the detail would be better. Overall I don't think it really matters went to comes to actually catching fish though but one of these days I'll probably pick one up anyway. Right now I just have to many projects to finish to get into something new.

Have you thought about coating the mould with heat resistant engine paint?
@TheNeverendingProjectsList3 жыл бұрын
Yes I've actually shown this in a previous video and it works well and does produce shinier baits. I really don't think it matter to much to the fish and I only make baits for myself so I never really bother with the extra step though.

@@TheNeverendingProjectsList I picked up a can this week. Going to design a few open pours first and get that technique down before moving to injection.

@@TheNeverendingProjectsList You maybe the one that I got the tip from. Watched so many different videos it all gets jumbled in my head.
@TheNeverendingProjectsList3 жыл бұрын
@@Darryl.M Just use light spray coats or the paint can hide any detail in the mold... on the plus side it can get rid of layer lines though.

Do you sell your mold files? I want to try this, but my modelling skills are severely lacking.
@TheNeverendingProjectsList2 жыл бұрын
I do sell most of the files I make on CULTS3D.com but I haven't gotten around to uploading these yet.

I would definitely buy that bait, just sayin'. I designed an open pour mold in Blender and after printing it works well enough for recycling used baits, I'm surprised to see 3D printed injection molds can work!
@TheNeverendingProjectsList3 жыл бұрын
Yeah as long as you keep the plastisol temps low enough and don't use a lot of injection pressure... surprisingly printed molds work well. 3D printing also allows for some bait designs that you wouldn't be able to produce with aluminum CNC molds.

Seems like the legs need to be thicker. They're too thin to have a more rigid action
@TheNeverendingProjectsList3 жыл бұрын
I figured a thinner leg would have more of a fluid like action but it's all trial and error.. but then again I really didn't put to much thought into the actual design it was more about testing the mold.
@n6yun3 жыл бұрын
Those shorter legs are getting in the way of the swimming action of the longer legs try straightened out the shorter legs shorter than the curve on the curly legs
@TheNeverendingProjectsList3 жыл бұрын
Yeah I probably should have turned them around too and pointed them down.
