@Ryan Kenaley There is no such thing as "Low skilled/unskilled" labour. Any person exchanging their time for labour should be compensated a livable wage by their employer, that being said though I concur that $20 an hour is fair in the state of Kentucky. Though his hours are unreasonable.

Well these trades never really left to be honest. There have been many long-operating expansive amusement and theme parks worldwide that require maintenance and upkeep so there was always the need. The only difference is in perception as more people get curious about things they wouldn't have usually known otherwise in highly specialized industries. And that curiosity combined with the ease of internet searching has trusted a lot of once-behind-the-curtain-professions into the public light (Most notably are Disney "Imagineers" as they are so called have become pseudo celebrities in theme park circles, like Tony Baxter or Joe Rhodey for example)

@@camd4648 Your standards have to be low to think 15 hour days isnt bad. In other states the cost of living might be a little higher, but you can get paid way higher for your work. @camd4648
@camd4648 2 жыл бұрын
@@mister0sir Yeah, I'm not arguing that 15 hour days aren't sucky, but they're more than doable, and aren't hard at all. 15 hour days at $15 an hour is middle class, and lands you close to 50k a year, which doesn't even include weekends. I can't say much, I enjoy working, because I'm a Diesel Mechanic. I enjoy it so much, I get off work, and offer my services to people, and make even more money as a result. When it's too hot, or too cold, I wash windows, which is about $80 an hour if you're good.(Which, I am.) Those are my side hustles, and It's all for the same goal. The easiest answer to why 15 hours a day sucked for you, is because you're working an unskilled, non-stimulating job. Do something difficult, and over come that obstacle, then you can truly enjoy your work. Two years ago, I didn't even know how to change my own oil. Now I'm making a living off of it.

Of course i am amazed to see others who trade on the online market here, After the covid 19 disaster I started trading too for about 6 months now and just about every one backfires and slaps me in my face.

@@francescoterrin lol, you sound really fustrated, i would advice you find a mentor, trading is always difficult but you should have a brief on what you wanna invest in carefully before going in

This sounds like a terrible job... He's only making 70k with 1500 hours of overtime? That's 68 hours a week, or almost seven 10 hour days. Maybe that's a lot of money for someone living in Kentucky, but that's average where I live without working much overtime... He was either fired from the wastewater place or something, because nobody gives that money up for something like this. "Wants to travel and see more" you're not seeing much when you're working 70 hours a week.

That's a good job to be honest , I use to work 15 hour shifts and only bring home 4,000 a month 48,000 a year as a bus driver ,I wake up at 3am and don't get home till 7 this dude only work a maximum of 12 hours a day and made more money then I did and gets to travel

@@geekedmaxx I'm personally not a fan of overtime. Some people love it, but the older I get and the less I need to make money, the more I value my free time. The less overtime the better. So I would agree with you, in that regard his job does sound better. However "good" is still not a word I would use to describe his career.

@@sonderevokingbuns yea true I feel you, but he's probably a single guy no kids no wife so the overtime is good for him, vs with people like you , you value more of your time if you have a family, or maybe you don't even have a family and you just like to relax , or like you said your just getting old and wanna relax idk everybody's different on what they wanna do , and I think his job is pretty good the average salary in the United States for one person is only 56,000 dollars a year so he's making more than average witch puts him in the good range
