This is a great takeaway, many traders expect certain returns every month or every week, but often times they fail to realize that as he says, you cannot command the market to do what you want, so you have to "dance" with it, meaning you have to fully expect months or weeks with lower returns or even losses, what matters is the results you get over time, on average; being profitable on every single trade is simply impossible.

I appreciate the idea of setting target ranges and averages. Not every day is going to be a banner day, some days will be losses, don’t limit profits. Banner days make up for flat and down days. As the account grows percentages will change while reducing risk until you size up your allocation which is not always necessary or warranted.
