I have been making sprockets for chain drive toy steam trucks. Using my Atlas shaper its a long process. I use a Southbend Indexing Center and manually crank it around for the next tooth. I also ground the form tool. I am amazed how fast you made those gears and your little lathe indexed itself for each cut. Thats a big accomplishment making gears. Hats off to you young man. The world needs more like you. God Bless Us All.

as a pretty big mechanical noob, holy shit. i did not know you can just _cut a gear_ like that, i always assumed they had to be molded or cut in a more slow-and-old-fashioned way (like, cut out a tooth, _then_ rotate, then cut out the next, _then_ rotate, etc). that actually kinda blew my mind how that just _works_

It's an electric rotary table/indexing head. Manual indexing heads are fairly common and have a specific numbers holes on a plate that correspond to the number of teeth you might be looking to cut on a gear. Look up Chris and his channel, ClickSpring. He has a video on manual indexing/dividing.
