This is a lot of pressure for you trying to put something together in 20. I have to admit you almost lost me when you sped up the beat but the way it turned out is slappin.

BROCKHAMPTON type beat? If you don't really know they're sound, listen to junky or heat or gummy.

CJ Beatz, when you're working on the drums, turning off the scale quantize (C harmonic minor = Off) will increase your workflow while you're using the brush tool. Doing so means that you don't have to move the midi around to the correct note for the drum instruments

You should do a tutorial on a beat with chord progression. Maybe four bars per chord in a four chord progression. Maybe layer different melodies in each chord. That would be dope.

I have challenge for you bcuz Ik the level of beats you can cook up its crazy. I been watching all your vids for a while, and I'd like to see what you can do with an Isaiah Rashad type beat. It'd be a lil different and I'd feel it be dope to see how it comes out in the end. $$$ Looking to purchase it $$$

Damn bro. I’m hoping I can start just “throwing together” beats like that AND that fast. Bad ass man. If I could do that, I’d be writing albums full of beats every damn day! Hahaaa. Keep up the great work man. Peace.

MrtheTrexMan this isn't FL Studio it's logic in case that's what you were thinking

Nah I know I use Logic lol But in one of his videos if you look at his task bar you can see CJ has FL Studio.

@CJBeatz, I noticed when you were in the piano roll every time you pressed a note there was a dot that appeared on that note on the piano grid. Does Logic normally do that or was it a feature that you enabled?
@CJBeatzProductions7 жыл бұрын
+Prod. By MDOTDASUPA feature i enabled, when i select my scale in the midi editor, that presets it so when i use the brushtool, it will only play in that scale

I hope trap dies SOON. Why EVERY SINGLE PRODUCER makes ONLY trap is BEYOND ME. So fucking boring
@josephpaul89117 жыл бұрын
Btw, i mean no disrespect, but geez. Do we not see that trap has flooded the entire scene? Do people not care about variety and individuality? Its all copy n paste 4 bar "melody" and trap hihats and snares, mixed with 808s with triplets. I mean, where is the talent?
@RIIXER7 жыл бұрын
Joseph Paul I feel like that’s helping the scene because now the only thing that can make a great song is the vocals
@MitchellTeeRapz7 жыл бұрын
Could you make a beat this good in 20 minutes? It takes talent. He would make something more complex if given more time I’m sure.
@josephpaul89117 жыл бұрын
Mitchell T. Yes. 20 mins is the average time it takes to make a beat. At least as basic as this one is. However, "good" is highly subjective. I too, think this beat is good. And i wasnt saying he doesnt have talent. What i was saying is that ANYONE can make a beat like this, and it seems that EVERYONE does. I avoid making trap like the plague. I actually tried to make a trap beat quite a few times for my buddy, but i just couldnt bring myself to keep it that simple. Im not putting myself on a higher pedestal or anything, but i do demand more of myself and refuse to dumb my beats down for what will most likely be used for a "mumble rap" song. Idk why i picked this particular video/beat to make this gripe, but something just told me to do it. I like some trap music too. But how is it the ONLY thing being made by people. It posses me off to see music being watered down. Im sorry. But im not sorry, ya know what i mean?
