Pretty good. My problem right now is just getting the Vividstorm for a price I'm willing to pay. I might also suggest either building or buying a motorized sliding shelf that can slide out the projector instead of having to slide the entire cabinet.

Nice job, well done. Could you please write the dimensions or publish the ikea order list? That would be great!
@Protocorner

You are right! I should have done that. I will see if I can still find it and add it somehow. You can also find the dimensions after 1 min of the video on the right hand side. Whenever I choose product you can see the dimensions.

Imma say, other than wanting to build Ikea furniture, looks like a lot of money cudda been saved by placing the screen atop an entertainment ctr of desired length 😅 Still, I'm sure you had a great time designing and building this piece with your own hands. And it turned out as desired. Great work! I don't have kids or pets, so I'm going to simply place the screen atop my simple platform.

Are there any guide rails for sliding parts?
@Protocorner

No not at this time at least. I just let it glide on the floor when I pull out the projector.

Hi! Try those links. Two first is just the Bestå bench. The last link is to the Björköviken Door. Thank you! Ikea stuff was 556,40€ and the top board from Bauhaus set me back about 170€. The XGIMI AURA 4K UST cost me 2640€ from Power (store)

Very clever! I also own a Vividstorm Pro S screen and Xgimi Aura projector so your solution was of particular interest to me. The central projector cabinet does not appear to be on casters. Just slides on the floor when pulled forward? Also, screen-to-lens distance is critical with UST projectors. Did you implement a physical stop so you know when the projector cabinet has been pulled forward the correct amount? Regardless, your installation looks great!
@Protocorner
@Protocorner Жыл бұрын
Hi! There is no physical stop. after the screen is up and the Xgimi is on I adjust the distance. I have been meaning to install the stops at some point just to save time =)

@@Protocorner If you haven't already seen this, search KZbin for "SCREEN PRO Motorized Ultra Short Throw Projector Shelf". It might be the perfect solution for you and obviate the need to slide the middle cabinet forward. I believe this sliding shelf will soon be marketed under the Wemax brand name as well.
