I really appreciate your work, I came here to learn how i can make the holsters as there is literally no one who can help me. On the other hand Pakistan is working great in leather products but in holsters, according to my little knowledge no one in Pakistan working in this field who can help, i believe that with your videos & instructions i will develop the holsters.

I'm the same, I never go anywhere without being armed! My everyday carry gun is my Ruger Max9. But the reason I'm here is to continue my education in leather work! I have been making leather holsters, shoulder rigs and chest rigs for over seven years now but I never stop learning how to do this work better. Your videos have been a great influence on the quality of my work. I always put my own spin of my holsters but you have been a world of help and I thank you endlessly! Hi Mike - I haven't seen the Max9 before. Looks interesting! I wanted to get the Sig P365 when it first came out, but now there's so many competitors to the P365. I've yet to make a shoulder holster or chest rig. Gotten lots of requests for it them over the years, but had plenty of orders that it wasn't worth messing with. How's life in Kalispell? Always wanted to visit Montana. Thank you for support, and thanks for watching and commenting!
@mikemcilroy38003 жыл бұрын
@@AdamsLeatherWorks The Max9 has only been out for since about March of this year. It has become one of my favorite everyday carry guns. I make more chest holsters then anything else, probably because of where I live. This is Grizzly country and most people love to get out into the badlands and explore, pick berries, hike just to name a few things that could put one in harms way. Kalispell can only be described as God's country. If you get the chance you should visit, you won't regret it. Unfortunately we have had to deal with a lot of smoke from wild fires coming out of the west, CA, ORE and Washington state. I have ordered a few of your patterns when I have been behind and they have been a great help. I also subscribe to your web site.

You pose an interesting question. My daily carry is an M&P Shield 45. As a part time truck driver I carry a Haversack type bag with a concealed zipper pocket that has a Taurus G3 with the 15 round magazine inserted and 17 round with it. Both guns have proven to be flawless in their reliability. The bag stays on the seat next to me and my wife understands why, after 31 years of marriage she doesn't want to sit that close to me anyway. I really enjoy your videos, thanks.
@AdamsLeatherWorks3 жыл бұрын
I haven't handled the G3 yet. Looks like a nicely priced full-size option! What's the recoil like on that Shield .45? My dad has the XD-S .45 & 9mm, but I don't recall if I shot the .45. You must drive through some sketchy areas if your bag sits closer to you than your wife, and I mean that in the most-polite way possible... Thanks for keeping America moving, and thank you for watching!
@FatManLeather3 жыл бұрын
@@AdamsLeatherWorksThanks for replying. The Shield and XD-S 45 have very manageable recoil, I was fortunate enough to shoot both, but I learned to shoot pistols with a 1911 in the Marines before the M-9 came into action. Trigger is better on the Shield. I'm in Minnesota, and after all the stuff that went on in Minneapolis I don't take chances.

Maybe add a bit of a bend in the holster between the magazine and the gun to maintain the same footprint while making room for your hand in a less conventional way. Of course you would have to create rigidity through some sort of reinforcement so as to keep the holster bend at a consistent state.

@AdamsLeatherWorks3 жыл бұрын
Yes - the Cobra Class 4 has been a great machine. It's a little on the heavy side when it comes to smaller stuff (thinner leather) like wallets because the hole in the feed dog is pretty large. @AdamsLeatherWorks3 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much! Regarding the sewing machine - what will you be making? I'm not a sewing machine expert, but I love my Cobra Class 4. If you can swing it, I'd buy the Class 4. From what I've seen in the past, the larger Class 4 will have a better resale value if you ever have to sell it. It looks like it's about $230 to $400 more, depending on the accessory package. It'll give you a larger working area that may be beneficial as you grow your hobby/business, but the overall footprint of the machine is roughly the same in case shop space is an issue. If you'll be making wallets and thinner stuff like that, I'd suggest leaning towards something like the Cobra Class 18. Whatever you get just make sure it has a servo motor, speed reducer, and triple / compound feed (needle feed + walking foot + lower feed dog).

@@jb7707 Indeed! That gun was so accurate for me, with a fantastic trigger, and no 'pokey bits' making it uncomfortable to carry.

Thanks for watching and commenting! This is just something 'fun' I've been wanting to try, and it's still a lot smaller than the zippered nylon pouch I have. The title itself was tongue-in-cheek for the benefit of the algorithm.

@@AdamsLeatherWorks I can understand the concept, a thin holster that stays in the car and keeps an xtra mag with the gun instead of bouncing around. I like belt loops just in case I needed to put it on cause ya never know. I’d change it and put a folding knife, and mag in front.

That's a great idea! I like the idea of incorporating more of an EDC loadout into it. Kinda like all these leather pocket organizers that are so popular.
