Oh! Hello Amie! I am really pleased to be able to thank you personally ! I checked out many patterns on Pinterest and yours was by far the best, simplest, most straightforward to use. I’;m so pleased you like what i did with it! Agnes - at 15 months - knew exactly what to do with her - she gave her the biggest, longest hug! Many many thanks xxxxxxxxxxx

I love how the hair looks on Agnes’s doll. I still have some crinkly sheep locks, perhaps merino, and a felting needle. I’m to become the great gramma of twins in July and if the are girls, I’ll make dolls or, hey, Even if they are boys or one of each they can have dolls, not just for girls!🦌💌❤️🐑

Absolutely, boy should have dolls as well. I think it helps to form their softer side a wee bit. My neighbor's son, when he was a little boy of 5 or so, would head straight for my dolls that I had set up at a little table having a bit of a tea party. He would play quietly for some time .

I have a Humpty-Dumpty metal pincushion from the turn of the century (late 1800s-early 1900s) where you stab the pins into the velvet circle atop his head. Also a smaller one that is the metal head/shoulders replica of a crying child! Those Victorians had a mean streak... ha Most of the others in my collection are animals or birds.

Kate, what a lovely treasure for Agnes and a joy for you in the making! I have my metal doll trunk with my baby doll and her wardrobe made by my Mom in 1953. She use to sew while I was napping and make me and my Dollie dresses that matched on her 1946 Singer Featherweight machine. I sew today on that very machine and hearing the lull of it almost puts me to sleepy nap time. I've made my kids clothes on it, my grandkids toys and clothes and most recently quilts and doll clothes for the great grand twins. Hope they have their treasures 70 years from now along with my trunk of treasures. You are a fabulous Grandma. Enjoy playing dollies with Agnes.

What an adorable doll with the most beautiful hair and clothes! Thank you for taking us with you on her journey to little Agnes. There is nothing like the first doll your mother or grandmother made for you, it is such a precious gift of love.

Agnes is a very lucky girl to have you for a grandmother. Love the doll. I never would have thought about needle felting sheep wool for hair. So pretty! Congratulations learning to use your sewing machine. It sure did look complicated.

She's lovely! I'm so glad she hugged it straight away! I KNOW it was a gift of love because I made a doll and 2 outfits years ago and the arms, legs, and all the fiddly bits of the clothes were harder to make than a dress for me! You made it look so easy! And you even blocked that lovely little cardigan!

I'm sure she will need another cardigan to wear when this one is being cleaned so you can record the making of that one and maybe the socks. She is just perfect. Thank you for sharing and inspiring us.
