I’m working on this right now for my husband for Xmas! Thanks for the inspiration. I made mine nearly the same but I recessed the smoker and made a lid to fit on top so the smoke had no thoughts of coming back up 😆. I hope it turns out alright!!

I haven't ever had anything fall through. the pipe screen seems to work well.

What is the diameter and thickness of the smoker?

Would u put a round over or chamfer on the actual smoker next time?

I think a chamfer would look nice, yes, I might do that. Also just the clean lines of the straight edges isn't too bad. Equally functional either way.
