Overall it's a great job, and I'm sure it's still giving you great service, but a couple of points jump out: 1) When you realized you had a concrete slab under there, why break it?!? Why not just use it as the base, maybe attach your post anchors to it with a few concrete anchor bolts? You really went the hard route there! 2) Landscaping fabric over the slab was another waste. I get why people feel the need to do it over plain dirt, but any weeds that will penetrate concrete (and they exist) will not care about some "weed fabric". But it's all live and learn. I doubt I've done anything ever that I wouldn't change at least one thing in hindsight. Enjoy your deck!

Am I the only one having to stop the video at times to read the caption? Sometimes I can read it fast but when I have to go back 15 seconds, it’s a form of distraction. Don’t get me wrong, I love the videos and the channel, but I find myself pausing the video to do other things or I’ll try to remember to come back later. In most cases I don’t come back unless I remember there were something in that video I need to see again. Overall, I’ll give this channel a 10/10 👍🏽🙏🏽🍏💚🥑💯 PS: I paused the video at 9:59 😳 I hope to remember to come back later and I can continue to educate myself from watching these videos... FYI Diablo Blades are much better to use, slice right through all that, 1) should of had flashing between house and deck board, not absolutely needed but keeps things from building in between. 2) should of used a barrier between the joist and deck, this keeps the joists from rotting due to debris from gathering at those spots and holding moisture, I prefer "G Tape" . other than that bag up job my friend.

Very nice. I like the attention to detail in the overall construction. However... when treating cut surfaces of PT lumber, you should use an anti-insect treatment (e.g., Woodlife CopperCoat) not an anti-water treatment--like the Thompson's WaterSeal you used. The point there is to inhibit insect infestation into the compromised PT lumber.
