@@NjordArtisan yeah, like DIY "river tables" were massive on KZbin and then came a wave of people with lathes make things from wood encased in resin or using resin to fill in holes and rot. But it quickly grew tiresome and cheap looking. There's a channel in particular that frustrated me. He exclusively makes black resin and wood tables that look basic and cheap. He polished them well and sells them for thousands. It's shocking.

Second comment cause I only just had time to fully watch the video! I could make you a pair of tongs at school if you'd like, only trouble with that though is actually getting them to you lol. Just some food for thought. Great puukko though, I'm going to have to actually get back into making knives (I've only made one and that was a sharp piece of mild steel flat bar). Also what was the sound track you used at the end of your Dagger Challenge video? Been looking for that track for ages, but I can't find it.

Hope you're catching that silver that you're sanding off. Always best to do as much of the shaping in the pre-cast instead of just making a general shape. Funny thing about casting- you basically have to just DUMP the metal into the mold, because every second you spend pouring is a second it's cooling down.
@NjordArtisan
@NjordArtisan Жыл бұрын
Yeah I learned that the hard way 😄 in part 2 next week it‘ll be even more apparent 😄 It’s just called german/new/nickel silver because of the color. It’s just an alloy and not actually silver. But it’s still pretty expensive so I did my best to catch as much as I could

@@NjordArtisan i tried bro i tried, but as unfortunatelly as it sounds my household conditions arent sufficient for building anything realistically, and as much as id love to, its imposibble for me to afford a working ground like a garage or smth, but im dreamin big so who knows given enought patience somewhere in the future i might be able to get myself someplace to dwell with all my ambitions 😉
