Making a GIANT Leather Wallet! (OUR BIGGEST EVER!!!)
This is a leather envelope style wallet we've been working to design for a couple months now and it's the BIGGEST leather wallet we've ever made! This leather wallet is almost a clutch - it's got 16 card slots, two bill slots, two universal slots that hold phones, etc, and to top it off it's got a full length zip pouch!
We used 2-3oz vegetable tanned leather throughout this piece, and we'll have the pattern available early next year in our new PDF pattern book alongside about a dozen other leather projects :)

Beautiful! I made a similar clutch/wallet as a Christmas present for my daughter. I wish I had seen this video first. A question: the most difficult part of the build was pushing and pulling the gussets as I sewed them in. Any suggestions to make it easier?

Ohhhh, do you prevent the interior bend from creasing/wrinkling by gluing the outer layer to it while they are bent? I keep having that issue.

I skive down the bend zone on the interior and that works well! As long as you're using thin leather. 🙂

I have reached out to his sponsor Weaver leather craft to find out what was going on. I had ordered all the items he links to on their site in Dec 2020. Corter has not replied to any emails or comments to say when the pattern will be available. We need an update please. It's almost August.

@@Zeit142 ah, no sorry I was referring to the large mallet. Small one kinda looks like a tack hammer. I use a cheap cobbler hammer that has a slightly domed and polished face for pounding edges.

Buy some chisels, a skiver, thread, steel ruler, cutting mat, utility knife or a rotary cutter, needle, contact cement, a mallet, leather and download some easy patterns! Good luck!
