Hello again my brother. i just bought the templates and already scalled the pieces to my own size started printing the templates of the torso and i noticed some small pieces that fill some holes between larger pieces are outside the printing sheets. Also noticed this with large thin pieces that connects the bigger parts of the torso, am i missing something or does this have something to do with exploiting the foam thickness as you said in your beginner tutorial? Thanks in advance.

@Heroesworkshop Thanks you! I just saw the dimensions thickness 6 for helmet 8 for armor. If I correctly understand, it's high density Eva foam ? I have one last question. I am making a list of all the things on the Amazon to be sure it won't be very expensive. I am sure it is written on the template. But how much Eva-foam is needed in general? The sizes of the sheets on your table that you cut out. I just want to know before I buy the template and stuff.
@HeroesworkshopАй бұрын
Yes. It’s high density foam. They usually sell it in big sheets. I’d get 2-3 rolls. If you need more just get more from Amazon. I usually buy it as I need it. Good luck with the build.

This turned out amazing! Definitely want to give this a go! Do you have a video on how you attach your armor? Like how did you keep the pauldrons and shin guards in place? A combination of velcro and buckles?
@Heroesworkshop5 ай бұрын
I just use velcro. I use contact cement and place one piece on the shirt and pants and one on the armor piece that needs to be attached. That's about it. Then to keep the shin and bicep snug, I just use an elastic strap.

@@Heroesworkshop Awesome thanks so much! And I suppose the gauntlet is the same as well just using velcro on the sleeve? And you're able to just slide your hand through the opening?
@Heroesworkshop5 ай бұрын
@@raysampang9304 I can slide my hand through no problem. Where you're building things, you can trim things as to fit you. I scaled the parts to my body but I always modify certain things to help fit better. Like taking a strip out of a forearm or inner thigh etc.

@@Heroesworkshop So I tried to make the helmet today and hit a snag. I followed your tutorial on scaling in pepakura and since this isn't a fitted helmet, I made sure to get the right measurement for the width of the actual opening but it drastically changes the height of it and now the helmet is way too long for my head. Is there a way to individually scale the height, width, and depth or does changing one dimension always affect the other two?

Question - I'm tryna make this armour, but instead of bug splatter I wanna have scorch marks from Automaton lasers. Any idea how I could get that effect? (Also, how do I size the helmet? I made it by sizing the bottom opening to the width of my head, and when I made it out of paper it came down to my shoulders 😅)
@Heroesworkshop3 ай бұрын
Follow the beginner tutorial on sizing. For it to be that big, you're unfortunately doing something wrong. Also, be prepared to rescale parts. It's how it goes with building anything. Always expect to build it twice at times.
@hollysummers62553 ай бұрын
I wanted to make this cosplay, and I'm following along with your guide video, but when I was looking at the model I noticed that the neck opening of the helmet is *very* small compared to the width of the helmet in general. When I measured my head width, it was the same as yours, so I was wondering what scale you had the helmet at? Did you have the width of the opening be 6.5 inches or did you make it smaller because EVA foam is a bit flexible? Or is the Pepakura file sized to you so I should use the default?
@Heroesworkshop3 ай бұрын
I'd use the default scale and see how that goes for you.
