I found raw opal that I inlaid into a ring with epoxy. It was one of my favorite rings.

Can the smoothing part be done in a cabbing machine ?

Do you have any videos showing how to make a ring with the hammered double channel blank? I worry about sanding down the hammered texture.

I believe that all of the hammered ring blanks are made of tungsten, one of the hardest and densest metals, so it would be exceptionally difficult to mess up the hammered effect.

is there a video on how to fix the tiny holes you find after sanding it down? Ive made 3 rings so far and all of them come out with super tiny holes. Any help would be great!

After sanding use super thin CA to fill in those tiny holes. Afterwards i would sand again then proceed with the polishes. Mine turned out pretty good for a first timer! I hope this helps and happy crafting🤘

Why wouldn't you just use a diamond file verses 20 sanding barrels? You are using a lathe it would seem easier. The ring turned out great BTW so not taking away from that, LOL
