Very nice at first I thought it might need more gold, but the way it glowed in the dark made me change my mind.

Could you use UV resin instead of the CA glue? Just ordered my first kit and I was curious about the resin

What kind of glue is this
@TheZippingMeteorАй бұрын
Cyanoacrylate glue, also called CA glue. It's the industry name for super glue.
@fabiandiaz1102Ай бұрын
Excellent video. Just one question... you ended up using only the red glow powder and not the mix of gun metal/red glow powder, right?
@TheZippingMeteorАй бұрын
He used both. The red glow powder was used as a base, the mix was used after the initial layer of inlay material was put down to cover the white daytime color of the glow powder. This lets the red shine through the obsidian better while preventing any weird white spots on the ring.

I would like to start turning rings. What brand is your lathe. I haven’t been able to find one like yours

You are great at explaining the process, just meet to change the camera angles and film a bit closer to the project.

Really nice ring. But you didn't show us the prep of the opal and lapis. I'm assuming you crushed and mixed the two together. Thanks

Thanks for continuing to post. We had a company recently refuse our wedding ring design request. These videos have helped me understand that at least the support for the team is not correct. It can be done. I could write the manufacuting process, it's not hard. I'm giving them one last shot, but after the wedding I might have to get into the hobby to prove them wrong. Have a couple mineral claims as well so I guess it works out. Could inlay our own gems from our mines in the future.

It seems the glow powder turns the ring sort of gray and mucks up the color. What’s a good way of combating this?

What no rune markings inside the ring? Don't you want an Interspatial Ring to store all your stuff.

Just wondering, it looks like you use your fingers to wipe off the glue tip after using, what's the secret your fingers don't stick together?
@bryner15883 ай бұрын
No secret, I just wipe off the glue tip with my gloves so then it doesn't clog up as often.

if you have a dremel tool and a diamond engraving bit, you can use that to do the middle channel for the red.
