I'm super excited to make my ring soon. It looks beautiful. I see that the video shows the ring turning the entire time that the ring is curing. Is this to help prevent the CA from clumping up? How do you keep the glue from spraying out, even just a wee bit?

can i use UV resin to do this as well

Nice, but you forgot the glow powder..
@bryner158810 күн бұрын
It is in there we just mixed the color pigment and glow powder off camera. If you use only glow powder it will clump up a lot. A good ratio to follow is 1 part pigment and 3 parts glow powder

When do I use the medium CA glue? One of the previous tutorials the guy just used the super thin all the way through. What is the actual application of the medium? I know the thick acts to hold inlay material.

Patrick is by far the best person to watch for these tutorials (obviously) thank you for going into more detail and not glossing over or missing information. The other guys that do these don’t assume it’s the first time and will not say certain info

Can you show the glow? Don’t understand why these videos at least the couple I watched both didn’t include the glow !

Sorry but the quality of this video is terrible. Your hand was in the way and what camera were you using. Why has the quality dropped so much.

We just moved locations so we're still working out the kinks. We don't have the same studio setup anymore.

What kind of glue is this
@TheZippingMeteor4 ай бұрын
Cyanoacrylate glue, also called CA glue. It's the industry name for super glue.
@fabiandiaz11024 ай бұрын
Excellent video. Just one question... you ended up using only the red glow powder and not the mix of gun metal/red glow powder, right?
@TheZippingMeteor4 ай бұрын
He used both. The red glow powder was used as a base, the mix was used after the initial layer of inlay material was put down to cover the white daytime color of the glow powder. This lets the red shine through the obsidian better while preventing any weird white spots on the ring.
