Well done! End grain targets last a lot longer and stick weapons better than plank board targets of any kind. My only suggestion is to make the target stand taller and perhaps more vertical, but that would be a matter of preference I suppose.

I like the move ability of this design. I’m going to try this out. Thank you!!!

Would a heavy axe spilt those blocks being they’re so short? I suppose being sandwiched in and tied together with the band boards helps to prevent splitting to extremes somewhat.

The target looks great but too low. Longer legs to bring it up about another foot total would be the perfect height.

@@zombiejoe13 for the record, how thick did you cut those 6x6s? They look thicker in the beginning, but seemed to fit a 2x4 frame in the finished product.
@kennethkenton84162 жыл бұрын
Yes, I noticed the same thing. Please let us know how thick the 6 "x 6" pieces are. I would really like to make mine using 3 1/2" pieces instead of 5 1/2" pieces, due to the difference in weight.
@kennethkenton84162 жыл бұрын
Actually, now that I look more closely at the beginning of the video, the pieces must be 3 1/2" thick. Otherwise, if they were 5 1/2" thick, the pieces would be perfect cubes, since 6" x 6" lumber is actually 5 1/2" x 5 1/2", meaning that each piece would have been 5 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 5 1/2", which is clearly not the case from watching the video.
@zombiejoe132 жыл бұрын
I believe I cut the pieces at 4” long. They stick out about 1/2” past the edge of the 2x4’s
