This is a really nice little box. I particularly like how you rounded over the edges of the drawer--looks like it would feel really nice to the touch.

Excellent build video! I love the simplicity of the box; it allows your custom drawer pull and of course the watch to be the stars of the show. I look forward to seeing what you do with the CNC next as your skills grow.

Nice looking box, a lot a beautiful wood came out of that small scrap piece of wood. That’s why it is so hard for a wood worker to throw any wood away. Nice work!

Love it! I don’t know why, but I find your builds so soothing. This wood has a great deal of character you used it well. I’d love to see you use bees wax, or carnuba wax and buff it out…. The results are just stunning and add a depth and warmth that can’t be compared.

Brass is a really soft metal. You may be able to use your CNC to mill it out by just turning your speed down and putting a carbide end mill in it. Probably save yourself some money on the manufacturing process as well.

Excellent work, as usual. I really like the way the pull came out. Adds a bit of curve to a squared look, which I think changes it up just enough. -Cheers

Lovely box. I love the addition of the little reinforcement splines to the mitre joints, but what would you recommend to reinforce mitre joints that are not deep enough to spline, such as a thin picture frame?
@parillaworks3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Trevor. Even a frame that’s around 3/4” thick should be able to hold a spline in each corner. You can also drill from the side for a dowel which will add a little bit of strength.

Another great project, I prefer the wood finger pull over the brass. The brass could be too showy and the beauty of the Wood grain it’s enough for a great small box
