I think dot cards are the best option for selling your watercolors... More people will be able to buy them (same amount of paint will make more dots than pans, people who don't want to spend too much money or don't have much money will be able to buy them) and you won't have so much work with it. Thanks for this, I'm looking forward to your paints
@findingagain
@findingagain 3 жыл бұрын
I second this but more so for the sample factor. Buying a dot card is a great way to see if you like the color/can use it regularly in your style. :) Then you commission or buy pans outright! It saves material on both ends and, like you said, encourages people to buy and try out more!

I’m getting serious Ravenclaw vibes both from the original pigments in their powdered form, and later when the colors are naturally separated into little swirls of gold.

YAY!!! I'm so excited for a new paintmaking video from you! Your past videos inspired me so much that I've spent the last week completely fixated and mulling out WAAAY too much paint...it's nearly shameful but I can't seem to stop. (And I don't want to.) I'm snowballing into rockhounding and foraging for my own pigments after grinding up some old volcanic rock into pigment the other day (turned into a gorgeous deep umber). I just have to let you know that your work has really impacted my own interests and motivation and just thank you for everything you put out there. We need more curious explorers of art like you in the world. More art. More life.

I was watching this just out of curiosity and thought "I appreciate that she's passionate about making paint but isn't it just mixing colours?" And then I saw the swatches and how the two pigments played off eachother, kind of "grainy"? The blue and yellow are separated but also married, like how you were talking about the blue getting more prominent and wow! How beautiful! 💛💙 Definitely seems like more than just mixing colours hahah

Somewhere between slate and storm blue. Tertiary and quaternary colors are less saturated but offer more latitude in design and painting.
