I wanted to let you know after watching several of your videos you gave me the confidence to try to make a hatch that my boat manufacturer said they would not make for me. I followed your process and I was surprised at how good the hatch came out. I want to thank you for giving people like me the confidence to try something they are not familiar with.

I feel I need to say this. I know you primarily are dealing with boats, but the majority of what you are teaching here can easily be utilized in the automotive craft as well, in addition to several other trades. I am using several of the techniques you have presented here on your channel, to make parts , specifically fender skirts, for my car. They can also be used to make hood scoops, fender flares, even full fenders, hoods, door skins, and other parts! Thank you for your experience and showing us, soooo many of us, how to put them to use! Peace!

This looks like a great idea for making my custom hood scoop for my 78 Suburban. I was thinking of making it in metal and then welding it onto the hood, but this looks like an easy alternative to building from metal and having to do a lot of hammer and dolly work.

Continuing to watch all your new materials and going over your old stuff! This fall I’m going to be building a large live well. Could I create a box mold out of plywood and use gelcoat onto the plywood and glass on top of it and allow it to release? Or should I use the plywood as part of the structure and leave it in?
