I think Will did a great job in this video flying solo. Alec and Will are both fun to watch, whether working together or separately. Alec hasn't ever had that kind of partnership before, at least not in the time that I have been watching his channel. I'm glad he's able to get away from the shop for a couple of weeks and leave Will to cover it, instead of Alec having to work double-time beforehand to make filler videos.

I like to see Will taking things on his own account, like its great they do the competitions (shows they work together, and not like one is the super boss (even if it is theoratically alecs channel)), and now Will doing "his own video" (even though the editor is the same, so the style is pretty close in some ways). I think all this is getting both of them into a better functioning team and will therefore make more productive videos. @Jonathan Green its not alone Will learning the skills of Alec, its the other way round, too. I say, this is a fantastic team, you, Will and Alec, should definitly keep it up!

Will, you are doing a great job! Love the energy. If you liked doing this and decide to make one into a pipe, try forging a length of octagonal musket barrel into the head by fullering-isolating the back like you did here, but the octagon shaped barrel becomes the pipe bowl, then after getting the basic shape to the head, you cut it, and forge weld a strip of high carbon steel for the blade.

Not sure the pipe tomahawk is really made for heavy work anyway. Remember it typically has a narrow shaft with a hole through it for smoking. This by design weakens the shaft. It is more a ceremonial tool than one made for heavy cutting.

I'm Apache and Lenelenope (Deleware), and can say this tomahawk not only looks beautiful, but also historically accurate while taking on some of the more modern twists that couldn't of been done ( at least not anywhere near as easily) otherwise such as the little arrow points on the back that make this build just look absolutely astonishing. Can't wait to see it finished.

Hey Will, it's a Pipe Tomahawk. The Tabacco Bowl side would need a shaped hole to work as a bowl for the tobacco. Not a great idea to harden until you fuller that in or drill it. Additionally, remember it's a vicious weapon of war not a hatchet. The underside of the hatchet is usually sharpened to a wicked -edged hawkbill. The tobacco-bowl side is scalloped for gauging.

David Whitehead he said at the beginning of the episode that the backside would be used as a hammer and no tobacco bowl would be put in.

Second everyone else saying "Great Job Will!!!" It is always exciting to see you both playing off each others energy, but you carried on the energy and vibe of the Alec Steele Brand quite well on your own, with some of your own flair. Especially love the one handed heft to avoid putting the coffee mug down. Looking forward to round 2.
