Hi Harry, OLD LEATHER SMITH here, Very Nice, I like it, I myself do 2 steps different, 1. I ALWAYS install chrome tanned Sheep inside so there's no way 2 get scratches 2 the plastic face, I even do this 4 a lap top case, any time there is a possible chance of scratching, on phones, 2. I always have a flap, keeps out RAIN, GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

Nice work got one in stiffer leather with an elasticated pull tag to make it easier
@harryrogers3 жыл бұрын
Hi that sounds good, and no danger of it falling out.

@@harryrogers no snug fit .Thats why there is a pull tab that that pushes it up from bottom as it’s tricky to pull out with fingers only

Hi Harry love your videos, I have a question for you what’s the best sort of thread to use on leather upholstery both for a machine and by hand? Mines a singer 66 hand cranked from 1935 works a treat! Fabulous stitches . Many many thanks Regards Steve
@harryrogers2 жыл бұрын
Hi Steve for the Singer 66, Gutterman upholstery thread is good. I use bonded nylon in my bigger machines and Ritza Tiger thread for hand sewing as it does not rot.

Hi Harry, always watch but not made yet. I practice in my head and thought an additional strip of leather between the 2 sides as a spacer might stop the pinching. Have you tried it or does it cause other problems? Nice case👍
@harryrogers3 жыл бұрын
Hi Alan, perhaps give it a go, though a bit of pinching keeps the phone in position.

Hi I am sorry but I no longer have this machine. There are manuals for it on the ISMACS website.

Could my singer 201k do this with something like Gütermann R753 silk, Red or Royal blue would look awesome ??
@harryrogers3 жыл бұрын
I think it probably could...I have not tried the silk, bit the Gutermann upholstery thread would probably work.
@OriginalFinnish223 жыл бұрын
@@harryrogers I should have a shipment of gutermann nylon coming from Germany soon. That stuff is not available in Finland same with that gutermann buttonhole silk. Good thing Germany and Finland are both EU countries.

Harry, I have a question. What is your thoughts about the 4180 Adler post machine?
@harryrogers3 жыл бұрын
Adler have a good reputation. I do enjoy the bottom wheel feed as well as the top roller for wallets etc...flat sewing items...does this Adler have that or is it a feed dog.....choice really depends on what you want the machine for.
@frankdenton1713 жыл бұрын
I have a shoe repair shop and I'm also doing a lot of things like purses, belts and restoration projects that require a lighter stitch than what I have with my patching machine.
@harryrogers3 жыл бұрын
@@frankdenton171 Probably not a bad option...Best if you can try a machine to check it suits your needs. Mine is good for shoes wallets and other fine stuff. A 335 type cylinder arm is another option...Good for bags.
