Love this, with these added tools definitely feels like you are turning the corner from master modifier to master builder. Custom bikes can be a loose term, but when you are making all of the pieces - definitely going to be one of a kind. Love it Dan - keep learning and keep sharing it with us!!

I always learn heaps from your vids & am in awe of your mastery of the tools that you have on hand. My advice for you, though, is to start seriously planning your workshop expansion because suppliers will be shipping their wares to your door. 170K subscribers now & it won't be long before you crack the Million. 👍

Definitely headlight n°2, for the scrambler look, that'll probably end up looking like a Harley Davidson pan america cross with a flat tracker/dirt quake. Keep at it, I'm getting loads of ideas watching your videos 👍

That is the perfect fit. It would be awesome to find a light small enough to put completely behind the plate and only shine through the spots you have marked out.

No.1 is good really, I have suggestion, the headlight bracket in that picture not looks good, I hope you gonna build something else for it, here we use those headlights for Honda Rebel CM300 and 500, that looks really beast … ❤❤❤❤ great video

In my opinion, I'd use the second set lights but make a slight change. I'd have the lights positioned horizontal, and instead of 2 lights the same size, I'd use a smaller one on the bottom and centered.

I liked your video, and I know you mentioned taking a metal shaping class in Australia. You are putting stress into the aluminum when you shaping it, I suggest annealing the aluminum to reduce the stress but it will take longer than what you said in the video

Did you have to anneal the ally at all? Years ago back when I was at college we did some ally forming work. Nothing fancy, just a bowl with a swaged lip formed with a bossing mallet and sandbag. Anyway, as we were working the ally it would work harden and not take form very well so we'd have to anneal it with the oxy acetylene torch to soften it up again so we could carry on shaping it. Have you needed to do this?
@CafeRacerGarage Жыл бұрын
I didn’t actually worry about it for something like this because there’s not too much shape going in it but if you were going to do more elaborate shapes, I would probably recommend it

That plate looks sleek! The vertical stack is very common on streetfighter builds, should be interesting to see it fit the cafe racer more classic aesthetic. The Hella FF-75 picture is kinda misleading, it has some depth (10cm or so, it's not that compact). Are you familiar with Highsider? Along with some round and oval headlights, they do have some in small form factor that can be run in stacks too, it's just a tad pricey 🥲
