Making a short film on 16mm film | Day 2 of 4

Even though I primarily shoot digital, I still adopted the proper sequence of calling rolling that I highly recommend for the future! Real simple if you aren't familiar! Call for sound FIRST, then announce what is on the slate, THEN role camera then clap the slate. THIS is the order it should be done that way the first thing sound hears is the person verbalizing what is written, the camera catches a couple frames for the thumbnail and catches the clapping resulting in minimal dead space in the beginning! Even with digital I don't like to waist space and don't want my camera catching the AC announcing the slate, I want to role camera and the slate clapping immediately after! Hope this helps! What a bummer at the end about running out of film…. At least it’s a lesson learned going forward. Where can I watch this short film?
