Just before you spoke about the running lights in the shuttle, I noticed them in the clip being shown, and thought ‘oh damn, that’s cool’. Because it really is a genuine throwback to Star Treks of old, that always had them, either on the bridge, or in shuttles, et al. Such a small thing, but one that speaks large to the overall authentic Star Trek feel and vibe that the film manages to capture. The red alert lights, and just everything that went into the shuttle set piece; it all came together so spectacularly.

Thanks! Yeah, I love those running lights. This was a great chance to make them. After the film was over, I decided to install them along the bottom of my TV. I was worried they'd be distracting, but in fact I find it more annoying if they're NOT on. Maybe I'm a bit weird ha ha. There's something really oddly comforting about them though I find :-)

FPSD That’s awesome! I can kind of relate to that, in a way. In that, I always used to find Christmas lights - the slow, ‘chaser’ ones - to be really calming. And, for the longest time, between the former house I lived in, and my current apartment, I always had a strand of them up and on, indoors, year ‘round. At least until each successive strand fizzled out. Of current, as a sort of fill in for it, my sis and I, who share the apartment, have left our Christmas tree up for the last few years, with the twinkling LEDs on all the time. Which became practical at night, as they serve as a nightlight to boot, lol.

@@sXeblues Sweet! I happened upon this the other day - although I don't know if it's any good or not: www.thewandcompany.com/rock-mood-light/ I can say that their TOS phaser and Communicator are good though! Looks like it could be a really relaxing and fun mood light :-)

If I had a shuttle setup like this to play in when I was a kid I'd have been in heaven.

Excellent. Do keep them coming. Mercy, I hope you had some help crafting this stuff. What an insane amount of work for one person. It looks so good though.
