My next build. I guess the way you hang the tool is very effective, because it only needs straight cuts and no drill press holes, as you can see in many other drill racks on youtube. Well done.

Thank you so much for that encouragement. Yes, I have no drill press and really only made straight cuts as you said. I hoped it would be easy and inspiring for others to try

Really like the drivers and drills in the middle. I can stand this against the wall on top of a large work table I already have. Thanks also for the free design. Subscribed.

You should of painted it orange and black like the tools. Then you could of hit up Ridgid for some stickers or a shirt or something.
@TysonMooreBuilds6 жыл бұрын
Haha! That would have been a good idea to paint it those colors! Although, painting it white helps it feel a little more clean in there. Which is weird because white paint will show most dirt, but from far away at least it feels clean Ha! ;)

So I just built my own tool storage station this past weekend and used your idea for hanging it on the wall. this was my first attempt at using a french cleat and for some reason the cabinet does not fit flush into the part of the back that is mounted to the wall. Since this was cut from one large piece I used for the back, I am not sure why the top does not fit perfectly into the bottom. Any ideas??
@TysonMooreBuilds4 жыл бұрын
That's a good question. I think I do remember that mine didn't perfectly fit down into the piece as well and left a small sliver where it looked like it needed to go down just a bit more, but I think this is because of the wall. The screws that pull that piece so tightly into the wall actually make that gap between the wood and the sheetrock a little smaller if that makes sense. All that to say, I remember mine was a little like that as well but it has been hanging strong for a couple years now with no problems. I hope that helps!

@@TysonMooreBuilds thanks very much for the reply. I did think it probably had something to do with the bottom piece being pulled in closer to the wall by the screws but I didn't want to back them out since it seems to be pretty secure so far. I've got it loaded up and so far, so good.

@@nmhymowitz That is awesome! So sorry it took me so long to notice your question. I had notifications to my email turned off so I just happened to notice it today. I am glad that it is working so far so good for you! I love mine!
Could you include the dimensions? You did such a great job, can’t wait to do this project!

Wish I had watched the video first. Your written instructions need to be a little more clear. It says to build the box first and once all four side are on it makes it impossible to add the hanging tool pieces.
