Thank you!✨

Looks great! Did you use joining slip to put it all together or did you just blend?
@KlayCeramics Жыл бұрын
Thanks! I just blended it together - the clay was still quite wet so it joined together nicely. If it was a bit more stiff I would’ve used slip.

I'm not too familiar with air dry clay but I think so! :)

how long did it take for you to do the first step? (just the little plate 2:07)

The base doesn’t take too long, maybe 5 - 10 min?

Is it waterproof from the inside??
@KlayCeramics8 ай бұрын
Yes, it is stoneware clay that has been glazed on the inside as well and fired

is it self-hardening clay?
@KlayCeramics Жыл бұрын
No it's not, I used stoneware which needs to get fired. You can use airdry clay but then you can't keep water in it as it won't be waterproof

do you cover your piece overnight, or do you keep it open to air?
@KlayCeramics2 жыл бұрын
Small pieces, like little bowls I just leave them open. But for mugs and vases etc. where I’ve attached pieces and they’re more complex I like to cover them so that they dry slowly

How long does a piece like this take you?
@KlayCeramics Жыл бұрын
For the making/ sculpting part about 7-8 hours. Then still needs to dry, be neatened and sponged, fired, glazed, and then fired again.
