Do not feel so bad about yourself Ariel. It has taken me some 55 years of constant study and practice to be able to work on watches. I would have loved to have been educated in a watchmaking school mentored by a master watchmaker teacher. Unfortunately for me, my parents would not hear of my desire to be a watchmaker. Okay, so I got the BBA and the MBA and continued my studies. Never stop learning and practicing. Sometimes you will mess up. This is how we all learn especially of what not to do. This is how we all grow in our skills. Best of luck to you Ariel and thank you for a wonderful video.

A very classy company and a wonderful product. I am looking forward to my first Frederique Constant in December. Thanks for the behind the scenes tour. It was wise to choose a surgeon to demonstrate the technique.

What an incredible opportunity to actually go to Geneve and assemble a watch in a professional environment! I am so very envious, happy to see you had the opportunity of a lifetime Dr., this would be a dream for me. I do hope you enjoyed the experience.

Wow, one of the best watch videos I have seen. Great stuff and also gave me a very positive look at the brand. I have always liked their designs but now I know they are the real deal. This is the way for Maurice Lacroix and other newer players. Show your awesomeness and were you really push your limits with new materials, research etc.

Thanks. I love that Alpina diver watch. We needed to take a lot of footage and make something that summed up the trip. We have articles on this coming soon as well.

Ariel, this video is very inspiring and I can only suggest you do more of this with other manufacturers. I'm personally not too sure I would have what it takes to be a watchmaker, but I definitely wouldn't say no if I had the chance to have a crack at it. Who knows? I am passionate enough and would probably be a success. Keep up this awesome work.

I have been struguling with not buying a Bulova but they just do not have the dress watch I want. I want a classic 38 to 40 mm men's dress watch with a Swiss Movement. This video made my mind up; I had it narrowed down to Longines or Frederique Constant. I looked at both of the websites and I really like Mr. and Mrs. Gras' charities, attitude, creation of the factory and now this outstanding video. I'm with you Andrew, I could do that all day too. Frederique Constant for me; I think I want to visit Switzerland for my purchase. Do they allow factory tours? Thanks

That's "Wheel Train" not "Gear Train" for a watch or clock, "wheels to pinions, pinions to wheels" and "Leaves" not "Teeth". And you never pick up a wheel like that across, or astride its span.
