Hi, very nice project. I wonder if the epoxit (inside the glasses) is really recommended for the taste of an god Whiskey ?
@bradsimpson87248 жыл бұрын
It's a food-safe epoxy; as long as it's had time enough to cure and it isn't heated(used for espresso or anything like that), it shouldn't impart any kind of taste.

@MakeSomething10 жыл бұрын
ninguemvj Thanks! Yes I'm using epoxy on the inside. Once any epoxy fully cures it's safe. It's a common technique I'm borrowing from wooden beer mug makers.

Epoxy coat inside the shot glasses? Very hard, and food/alcohol safe?
@MakeSomething10 жыл бұрын

Why do you think ANY modern finish would NOT be food safe?
@Everfalling10 жыл бұрын
Jesse G because not all of it is
@gojessego10 жыл бұрын
Like what? Please inform us. Shellac? Lacquer? Pre or post cat lacquer? Varnish? Conversion varnish? Polyester? Epoxy? Oil finishes? True polimerizing oil finishes? Please let me know and cite a reputable source, if you can. (By the way, good luck). Food safety pertaining to wood finishes is a myth perpetuated --solely by hobbiest woodworkers.
@WarrenPostma10 жыл бұрын
Jesse G Cite something yourself, bro. Enlighten us poor unenlightened sods. How do you prove a can of toxic sludge is automatically food safe, contains nothing poisonous, and leaches nothing out, when in contact with food? Do tell.
