The exhaust looks and sounds stunning. Although I can't tell how much quieter it became, there is a noticeable difference in the way the exhaust sounds. Great work as always Danie 👍🏽 Looking forward to the next one, cheers.

I prefer the 'Spitfire' sound, even with the dead plug. 😂 I hope you have another exciting 'classic' build coming up after this one is finished. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching this one.

@@BroughBuilt This is just me personally, maybe your other viewers think differently, but I'd like to see an Alfa 158, like Ant Anstead built on Wheeler Dealers. He used an MG chassis & an Alfa motor, with a composite body. A relatively simple build, a beautiful car & apparently fun to drive.

The back pressure of the “silencer” made the engine run smoother in my humble view.

Hi, this is an amazing build. The Dunlop style wheels look great but the car would have a 50's stance with a set of 80 section Blockley tyres would look better than those modern 205/60's.

Hi Danie Looks great! Is there a concern of heat transfer from the pipes that might damage the paint near it? Also, is the perforated pipe "floating" within the outer pipe throughout? I'm not a car person in any way, but these are just some questions that popped up. Nice video as always 👍👍
@BroughBuilt11 ай бұрын
Thank you! I'm also a bit concerned about the heat. The inner perforated pipe has no change of movement and is welded in position so I'm not worried about vibration or anything like that
@absenteeatom11 ай бұрын
@@BroughBuilt I also wondered about heat damaging the paint and vibration of the non welded end of the perforated tube. I thought you might also have wrapped the perf tube in steel wool.

Ja jong Danie, Ek kan aan die kommen raar Sien dat mense nie n Jag engine ken nie. It is a straight six with a cross flow head. Could be a 3.8 or 4.2 l engine . Who knows.It was a damn awesome engine for its time.There is not a lot of them in Australia where I sort of live.Apart from most poisonous snakes, Most poisonous insects, spiders, blue bottles, poisonous woman and extreme temperatures there is not much to see and of course hopping kangaroos and koala bears with long toe nails that scratch the crap out of you there is not much to see.

Hi Danie, sit die silencer by die manifold .Net n gedagte.Ek sien daar is genoeg spasie.
@BroughBuilt11 ай бұрын
Ek het dit oorweeg (steeds 'n opsie) maar die spasie is ook maar beperk al lyk dit nie so op video nie. Silencer sal nie langer as 300mm kan wees nie

I think so. Can't see anything on original cars but I reckon the paint is gonna get a bit 🔥
@We-R-Racing11 ай бұрын
SOunds the same to me.... not really. With Silencer sounds much better Question - should you not have an H section?
@BroughBuilt11 ай бұрын
An H section will definitely help with sound but it's not necessary for the straight six as far as balancing goes. Also it would have made for a logistical nightmare to remove if both pipes were welded together 😁
