You definitely can! The only thing you cannot do is the curvature node, but that can be achieved in vanilla blender as well. I plan on making a video focused on that soon insha Allah

I searched mix rgb and it didn't show up, is it called something else? and how do you get that drop down type search?

In Blender 4.0, they changed the name to "mix color", and the dropdown menu can be accessed within the shading tab when you press shifht + a. Hope this helps!

The curvature node is a specific quality of Goo engine. You can get the source code on google, or if you don't know how to compile source code, then I provide my version on my patreon! Hope that helped

is goo engine specifically for gpu users and not non-gpu?

I guess you could use goo engine with cpu as well but it'd probably work best with gpu. Most of the techniques taught here though can be done in base Blender! But yeah, gpu's best for eevee I'd say
