Any idea how to import something like this into Unreal? I love the method you have described but when I try and import it as fbx I end up with several different static meshes. Also thank you.

An indepth tutorial on large grass landscapes and/or general NPR material tips and tricks would be amazing from you. Years ago I was struggling to find resources on Vertex Normal Transfering for trees in Blender. Your explanation was clar and very helpful. Keep up the good work ❤

For me I think the transferring normal was not that hard to find guide. The hardest part is to find quadmesh to billboard pipeline guide in blender, which is basically none.

Nice tut!! For C4D users, no need for geometry nodes to make the plane face the camera, just convert it to polygon object, rotate the Z axis to face up, drop a target tag on it and drop the camera in the target object, now you can animate position and rotation of the camera and that plane will always face it. Thank ya!!

I saw that you asked a question. If you're still interested then Small Wind Speed/Strength/Scale is how I called the attributes that mimic leaves movement. Large ones mimic the branches movement. Maybe that is misleading a little bit.

This looks great. I thin kfacing the camera to avoid sharp edges is a good idea. I have also tried linking the opacity of the leaf cards to the angle ot the camera but this is simpler. What are your thoughts on animating your characters on twos?

@@ollied2025 this billboard workflow has been around for a really long time, the first time I noticed it is while playing Witcher 3. But I think it had been around a lot longer than that.
