This was such a great video to watch! Really brought me back to cooking with my grandma when I was younger. She's 95 and I still cook with her! Before going to vet school I wanted to be a chef and it was all cause of those cooking with grandma days :)

Amy, I grew up in Mt. Clemens. As adult I moved west. We came back visiting once and stayed at the sweetest B&B up in Port Huron where our breakfast was French toast dipped in cornflakes baked and topped with bananas and rum sauce. Ill never forget how good it tasted. My entire family always boasts my momma is the best French toast maker ever. We ate it with sugar sprinkled and a little more on the side. I was so excited to see your casserole! I'm definitely going to be making this. Thanks for sharing your recipe and it was joyful watching your grandbabes share in the process.

One of our favorite breakfast. We love using french or cubean bread sliced at an angle. The grand babies have grown so big since I last seen them. Such beautiful babies. Just want to mention that when I was about 3 or 4 I was happily licking the frosting from the glass bowl. Which I dropped before anyone could catch me or it. 4 stitches in my baby finger. I still have a scar in my finger. Crazy thing is I remember every detail of it happening. I realize you raised 4 children. You're a great mom and grand mom. But kids can be fast. Love your videos. Thanks. I never made it this way. Reminds me more of bread pudding. Yum! I'm chuckling here. Every time Ember goes to sneak another little taste grandma has eyes in the back of her head and pushes her hand out of he way. Typical kids. Lol

I enjoyed watching and learning how to make this dish. Please be mindful when baking with children. After they touched the raw eggs none of them washed their hands. Then hands went into their mouth a few times and then Jackson ate the bread with the same hands he had raw egg on. Just make sure to wash hands in between and for yourself as well. It doesnt look sanitary when so many hands are in and out of ingredients and no one is washing them. Especially if you are recording this video to post to the world!
