Making Baked French Toast with Brown Sugar Crumble with My Grandkids! | Amy Roloff's Little Kitchen

I love the sweet things that make up breakfast. French toast is one of my favorite kinds of breakfast, especially for Sunday brunch after church. This baked French toast is great when serving for more than several people. It’s one reason I love this baked French toast. It’s easy and it stays warm for everyone. I made this with my grandkids (watch my video at Amy Roloff’s little kitchen) and had a great time. It was a lot of good grandma time making it with them.
I added a streusel on top. Garnished it with powdered sugar, fruit and drizzled with butter maple syrup. Yum. And it was grandkids approved. Happy grandma.

This was such a great video to watch! Really brought me back to cooking with my grandma when I was younger. She's 95 and I still cook with her! Before going to vet school I wanted to be a chef and it was all cause of those cooking with grandma days :)

Amy, I grew up in Mt. Clemens. As adult I moved west. We came back visiting once and stayed at the sweetest B&B up in Port Huron where our breakfast was French toast dipped in cornflakes baked and topped with bananas and rum sauce. Ill never forget how good it tasted. My entire family always boasts my momma is the best French toast maker ever. We ate it with sugar sprinkled and a little more on the side. I was so excited to see your casserole! I'm definitely going to be making this. Thanks for sharing your recipe and it was joyful watching your grandbabes share in the process.

I enjoyed watching and learning how to make this dish. Please be mindful when baking with children. After they touched the raw eggs none of them washed their hands. Then hands went into their mouth a few times and then Jackson ate the bread with the same hands he had raw egg on. Just make sure to wash hands in between and for yourself as well. It doesnt look sanitary when so many hands are in and out of ingredients and no one is washing them. Especially if you are recording this video to post to the world!
