Made some butter from scratch with the Kilner Manual Butter Churner! This is a great tool to have on hand, especially if there's no electricity to power your mixer.
*Get the small Kilner Butter Churner here: www.kilnerjar.com/products/ki...
Note: There will be close-ups of several stages of the butter-making process: heavy cream, whipped cream, and separation of butter solids and buttermilk.
Once butter solids have formed, form it into a ball and squeeze out any excess buttermilk under cool running water until it runs clear. You can also massage the ball of butter in a bowl filled with ice water.
Place your butter into a bowl or a butter bell/crock, add some salt (if you desire), and press it in with a wooden spoon (doesn't stick as much).
Keep refrigerated and enjoy!
