Quick note on the name Patsy: Patsy is an Italian-American diminutive of the name Pascuale. My grandfather and father, both from Italy, were called Pascuale but when they emigrated to the US everyone called them Patsy. My dad wanted to call me Pascuale too, but my very American mum was against it so they settled on Patrick, but the Italian side of my family called me Patsy a lot. So I imagine the owner of Patsy’s is/was probably called Pascuale. 😊

You guys need to go to New Haven, CT and try the pizza there (Apizza locally). Consistently rated in the top of the country. Pepe’s and Modern are my recommendations. Sally’s is always up there to, but the others are a step above in my opinion.

I adore you both. Carlo looks like my little cousin and honestly his wife looks like Sarah. They also live in the Boston area. Anyway, My mom and her family came here in the 70s. To this day my mother and uncles still make the same comments about italian american food…everything. I love your love story too. Everyone out there…this couple was fortunate and blessed to find each other…but it’s worth the wait.

I’m a New Yorker - San Matteo pizza is just like what he described. Authentic italian and delicious! It’s one of the best in the city. I agree patsy’s is really good but not the best and I love antico vinaio! PS you guys are super cute! I can relate! I’m Armenian and my hubby’s Italian (we’re both american). He’s the sweetest guy! And too many similarities when it comes to food (esp the illegal breaking of the pasta) 😂. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness.

I have applied a long time ago(like 5-6 years ago if i'm not wrong) for a US Visa and got a call 1 month ago but when the lady told me that it costs basically a month's salary without being sure it will be approved I just told the lady to drop my file.Anyways you guys are awesome especially Carlo with his Italian way of being and always waving his hands and the way he speaks,he really seems like a really cool guy,don't get me wrong Sarah,you are gorgeous and he's a damn lucky guy. ❤ You guys should sample the pizza at Little Italy pizza in Beverly, MA. They put grape jelly in the sauce :-). Next door to it is Organic Garden Cafe which sells raw, vegan food and they make very interesting pizzas- at least they used to. I actually liked the pizza 🍕 at Organic Gardem a lot!

Carlo is correct....you can tell a lot about a pizza by it's appearance. Uniform browning on the bottom, tells you the pizza's done, a good cheese cook can show Quality cheese....I was in the pizza business for over 20 years... Believe me you can tell a lot from a pizza's appearance... Love you guys ❤
