Good morning, Gayle! I think the notion to use double-sided tape for adhering the clusters is a great one. Glue dots would work too, I think. I have yet to make one of these. We had too much going on when Tina first shared her idea. My mom was AMAZING at keeping us to a schedule growing up. I had a high bar set for me when I was raising our kids. (Didn't quite reach it but came awfully darned close. 😉) I used to hate having to take a nap/rest after lunch when the rest of the neighborhood kids were out playing. As I got older I didn't have to sleep, just play quietly or read while my brothers napped. On the odd occasion when I would sneak to the kitchen for a glass of water, my mom would be sound asleep on the couch, bless her. I think nap time was as much for her as for us! And now my body clock really wants to nap every afternoon around 2:00... tough when I worked full time. 😆I worked (as the office manager) in an elementary that had 4 developmental pre-school classrooms. Those teachers and aides are heroes in tennis shoes! My daughter comes this weekend to spend a week with us. She & her hubby moved to Washington in 2020 so he could go to Grad School. It's always a delightful time when they come back to visit (and of course we go there for visits too). I can relate to your excitement at getting to see your son! Glad you shared the "mistake" cutting some of the fabric pieces too small. It's true to life, even for experienced crafters, and demonstrated that there are no mistakes with a junk journal which hopefully encouraged some newbies watching. Enjoyed watching you make all of the covers today. I still need to see how you made the speckled canvas covers So many videos, so little time! Big old Idaho hugs, Marci 💖

Gayle, I tried the 2 envelope process….I was afraid my machine couldn’t handle it so I glued it. Came out beautifully……so neat.

Gayle, my art group has found that using a Tombow tape runner is much faster and easier than having to cut and peel the double sided tape and it pops off without damage to the paper.

I totally understand what you as a grandma are talking about with your grandson. Our. Granddaughter has dreamed of playing college soccer since she was a little girl. In one of her last games she got I injured with torn ACL, NFL and medial meniscus! Surgery and now doing PT, and was finally able to put cleats on and do stretches with her college team last week!! She can't play until next year, but coach made her team manager and she is very involved.

I told myself recently that I can not craft unless I get on my treadmill. Not sure why I am listening to myself though. Self needs a little bit of a talking to!!! Lol But funny thing is, before I had the talk with self about crafting and exercising, I had bloodwork done and I had perfect numbers!!!! First time in many years! In the email from my PCM she said keep up with the exercising 😂😂😂😂. Not telling her that I haven’t been doing anything. But I did start on some vitamins that has drastically made a difference. But now, really want to lose some weight also, so hopefully I can keep up with going on treadmill before crafting. 🤷‍♀️ Loving your covers!!! Pointsetta one with the lace is my fave!!

Good morning Gayle. It’s another cool, fall feeling morning here. I love fall. Suggestion, if you aren’t going to cut the mounting page & just pull them off, couldn’t you use both sides of each page? Could get a lot more clusters in your book. So excited about Christmas journal covers. The canvas ones turned out gorgeous. Would repositionable tape runner help to keep your 12 x 12 papers isable for another purpose? The tape just rubs off. Just a thought. Beautiful scrap clusters. Have a wonderful day

I don’t have any but good idea! I use paper for these that I’m not excited about using in other projects, so don’t care if it ruins. 👍🎉
