Nice tutorial! To make the high-hats more humanlike, i also like to reroute their level or velocity (shift + column 3, row 8) to the random mod source (shift + column 16, row 6).

RSKT - thanks so much for these , great tutorials. Question - why can"t you put you mic into/thru the Deluge in monitor mode to get stereo outputs?
@RSKT_music2 жыл бұрын
I have thought about it, but there's a few reasons why I don't. I'm worried I might accidentally delete or mute it while performing certain sections. Also, recording into my DAW allows me to do some cleanup on my vocals, as well as side chain the Deluges audio in a more controlled way, and offer more editing options when putting the video together.

Full of very good and useful tips. There are some of them I didn't know yet and I am sure I will include in my workflow! Thanks!

Thanks, helpful! Really enjoy your playful style, trying things out and talking about what you like and don't like. Similar to nudging timing or putting automation on a note, I like to adjust velocity here and there. You prolly do that as well, but I didn't notice it in the vid

Thanks a lot! :) Yeah I guess I only did that with the snares here. Most times I'll do that with the high hats or if I'm doing doubles on the bass drum. So much you can do with this thing. Love it :)

Awesome! Step 1: known every in an out of the deluge Step 2: be talented Step 3: put in the hours. Lol

Haha yeah, it does take a little but to get your head around some of the button combos, but at least the test of the workflow is pretty intuitive. Talent is something you earn though, not something you're born with. So anyone can do it! ;)

This is not that hard to do, you just try stuff and see what gets you grooving. It's way harder to write melodies and other non-percussive stuff.
@XtianApi Жыл бұрын
@@wiegraf9009 makes sense. You're right. I have basic knowledge of scales and music theory, so I'm not too bad now that I know the gear. I will steal an idea from a song for practice and make something. I realize shaking the rust off makes me more likely to think of something at work or wherever. Then I'll pull my notebook down and jot down maybe 6 or 7 notes. The original melodies from me range from great to dog $h1+. Now just waiting on deluge oled retrofit
