Instead of 2 cockpits, you can place remote control blocks pointed in opposite directions and name them, then when you control one or the other you will be going 'forwards' in either direction.

@@MrBuyerman that could work, not having a cockpit would be a bit of a compromise in terms of visibility, but enough cameras could solve that

Interesting that you can add components to build planner from the cockpit. Pretty sure you can also pull components to the ships inventory from the cockpit using the inventory screen.

I have just started your workshop scenario as in yesterday my time and am having trouble with all of my hydrogen disapearing completely, I have left a comment on the scenario page in the steam workshop under the name of Pendragon. I also have a room mate that actually suffers from Agoraphobia who i have shown this scenario to and asked him what he thinks of it. Where he has left his info as well. Other than that i enjoy the idea and will try it again when the hydrogen problem is solved. So keep it going and enjoying this series.

@@Pendragonau Thanks man, I'll look into the hydrogen problem when I can. I've never encountered it personally, but I'll see if I can recreate it and keep everyone updated about it

For the docking, I suggest a downwards facing camera next to your small ships connector. I've found keeping the crosshairs on one of the dots from the connector gets you pretty close to dead on for docking. At least close enough very little magnetic force is needed to complete the docking. Lowering the magnetic force has also has dramatically cut down on the amount of exploded connectors I've had... Another idea maybe using connectors on tools to swap out what is needed at the moment? Give you a bit more time before you need to dump the resources into an entirely new ship.

hi nice scenario . first you can create one small creator droid by make one side welder and the back side grinder with 2 cargo container in between and pot one controller on each direction with one connector down and some lights and 2 battery right and left with 1 cam on each direction/ about the leaking o2 check the event controllers and timers / about power you can create 2 hydrogen engine and add it to event controller that it will work when sun is down / for the droid and the miner you can install camera near the connector

Loving the series as always, been playing the scenario myself. I wanted to give you a heads up on a problem I've discovered recently while trying to find some more rare ores. I had made a satellite to go further than the normal antenna would allow with my miner only to discover no asteroids in sight. Turns out asteroids render based on the actual player location and wont start rendering and spawning asteroids if you are remote controlling a grid from a distance. So once my drone got past 30KM I pretty much had 0 new asteroids visible. Still looking for a good way to get around this problem, a mod or something like that, but so far no luck.

5:50 what about a similar design to this ship with a bigger storage container and left side is welder right side is grinder? that way if you have to do both, no need to switch cockpits. plus with the bigger storage, you can probably make a bigger improvements to your station
@jonathan_020 күн бұрын
@@TheRealPhilG yeah, i did some testing in a creative world and that whole idea of having a pressurised small grid with two cockpits doesn't really work in this scenario, because half the time you get ejected out the front when you get out of the cockpit. So i'll have to come up with another idea on that front. The approach of one welder and one grinder on the front is the obvious/easy option, which is why i'm hesitant to do it. I just like making things difficult for myself lol
@TheRealPhilG20 күн бұрын
@jonathan_0 crazy idea here. How about both on hinges and they flip forward when you want to wield and tuck back when you want to grind. You could have them one above the other just sticking out of the sides

Is the opening of the hanger door not triggered by the vent decompression event?
@jonathan_019 күн бұрын
@@cyrano234 it is, not with an event controller, but through the vent's own actions for pressurise/depressurise. I believe Engineered Coffee's one event controller airlock works in a very similar way, I just have two separate event controllers plus a timer for style reasons
