Your Duck looks fantastic! I've considered modding my own Bachmann Duck to be more S2-esque but I've not really got the patience for all the fiddly little details 😅 If your comms open out to doing more than just Thomas someday I'll probably hit you up!

Yet another awesome custom model. The fresh lime-y green paint, separate handrails, and smoke really add so much to an already excellent model, and I can absolutely relate to the struggle of painting the wheel arches and running board... Also, gotta love Andrew and their faces. They're easily some of their best they've rendered. Another fantastic piece! P.S. What's the music that starts in the 'Final Touches' section? I know you do a good job crediting music in the description, but I can't find that one in particular...

How did you make the cliffs at 9:32?

The cliffs are made from a mixture of polystyrene and plaster/paper pulp. Then painted, covered with compost and soil as well as fake grass turf and static grass. I'll be releasing a video at some point in the future detailing the build process.

Hello! If this is your first model train, I'd whole heartedly recommend getting yourself a Bachmann Thomas. That model is a great place to start. There are many modifications you can make to it over time such as screw links, new buffers, weathering, opening up the cab, potentially lights and smoke, new faces... It's definitely a lot of fun learning these different modelling skills.

I'll be releasing a tutorial about DCC/Smoke Units in the coming weeks - though I will say, I don't recommend installing a smoke unit without going to DCC. I don't think it's worth the investment. Hope this helps! :)
