When I'm overwhelmed, I take some time to deal with my emotions, then I do useful things, and congratulate myself for each of them! And I repeat the process until it's calm... Always a pleasure to have a video from you! And congratulations!!!!

Cool cooking tip - you can use a regular spoon (like one you’d use to eat cereal with) to peel ginger!! It lets you get into all the nooks and crannies without chopping off extra! Highly recommend - you can look up a video if you’re curious about how to do it :)

My go-to coping mechanism for my natural state of overwhelm is making lists. To-do lists, way in the future to-do lists, grocery lists, whatever. The order helps! Also, CONGRATS ❤️ 💍

Grace is so self-conscious and awkward I genuinely wondered if she'd mention the engagement or think she'd already done it too much elsewhere and it would be too much and unwanted to say something here 😂 Hot damn though I'm glad she did just in case anyone missed it. Been watching Grace's videos and listening to her podcasts for...hmm...ooh...7 or 8 years now and I'm just happy as shit for her growth over the last couple years and the genuine connection and happiness she and Elliott have. I still remember being startled the first time she posted something on I think Instagram where she said the L word to him because she's always been so careful and closed with that sort of thing, understandably, so her being willing to do that knowing an audience would take it in was such a change. Fast forward to today and now they're engaged and damnit, given the chaotic and upsetting events of the last...hell lets call it 5 years, this is a really welcome bright spot and I'm really happy for both of you. What a crazy long ramble for someone on the distant end of a parasocial relationship, but I like seeing people I like being happy, so I don't mind finding some happiness where I can.

My coping mechanism is to go for a short (5-10 min) power walk and then watch a bunch of KZbin videos. The walk clears my head and the KZbin videos make me forget about my problems. Sometimes I'll play a game on my phone to divert some of the attention away from my anxiety. The idea is to flush the bad thoughts and replace them with distractions and eventually the problem becomes less taxing on my brain and I can step back and look at it objectively.

Ginger is a rhizome, so definitely not a fruit. But it can be classified as a vegetable, a spice, or a herb depending who you ask. Although I don't see how it can be a herb when herbs are defined as the leaves of plants.
