Making Foam Halloween Pumpkins

Wait. Did you add the fiberglass WHILE the epoxy/resin was still wet? You skipped that part in the video @6:10 - 6:15. Also, isn't there a type of non-expanding foam? I would rather it was hollow inside.

We are running a jack-o-lantern food drive. I tried to make this but this is more like styrofoam. I would like to be able to make a urethane pumpkin like you can get at the craft store. Also, the paint eats the foam. Its a fantastic idea, but I wish I could adapt it to work for us.

Yeah, he did not have a smooth finish by the end, it looked damaged. Wish he had addressed that issue as well as at least mentioned options for making it hollow.

This would be great for making a ton of pumpkins for Halloween yard decorations. They would be lighter, not rot all over the yard and do not have to be disposed of after. And they can be used for several years. The only thing I would do different would be to use an air gun to paint them.

He used expanding foam. If you use non-expanding foam instead, it would remain hollow. I honestly think it was a mistake to use the expanding foam. Just look online at different liquid foams. I've seen non-expanding types.

Should have made it hollow with a better wall only mold, this is way too much work, just to have to waste a ton of foam and have so much work to hollow it out.

We can get them for as low as £2 for that size here in the UK, cheaper if you pick your own at the farm where they are grown and a lot bigger!

There's another system for doing that because you're technique it's for the pro who's use pro products et technical practices......it's not for the people lambda.....you can.use ballon , fine.rope and foam bomb and tissue.........you showing industrial technique to make make pumpkins chine production.....
