this is why I want to get back into skating. Some of the most fun I had was skating with friends when I was younger. As I got older, school/job/family took higher priority, but now that I'm more stable in life I want to get back to it

Have hit the skatepark twice in the last week thanks in part to your vids! Both times I met like 3 other people in the 30+ crowd. It's been sick, and everyone has been super cool and encouraging. ✌

Skated a lot in my highschool days and then dropped it cold turkey around 20 years ago....just turned 40, still in great health working out 4-5x a week and seriously thinking about getting back into it recently now that my daughters are showing some interest. Seems doable :) Good content!

This sounds like my exact situation as well, that's awesome! 😆 Just turned 40 in June, three school-aged daughters who are working on pushing around right now. I just worry about rolling my already trashed ankles after countless sprains over the years from skateboarding, basketball and volleyball.

@@shawnmichaud4484 this is so cool to hear. We don’t have kids yet but would like to in the near future. I really hope I get to be in the position to teach my kids to skate🤞hope you get back into it!

@frontsidehealth I had one too many broken bones from transition skating & I decided to throw in the towel for good I guess... Without a doubt skating is the only sport I truly enjoyed; it's a beautiful synergy between physicality & artistic expression, its like you're painting as the outside world as your canvas...I think I reached that age where skating isn't as refreshing as it was at 16- 18 and felt the need to diversify my passions/hobbies to balance & enrich my quality of life But I'm forever grateful to the friends & good times I made through skating

@@Spurgte well said👊 and I get that, I’ve taken long breaks from skating to pursue other goals/passions, can be a great thing. I think the most important thing is just having something you’re passionate about and making time for it as best we can.
