Making friends in the garden was toad-ally unexpected

As I went to put some pots away, I am glad to say I looked into the top one, as this wouldn't have been such a happy occasion. I found that in the pot was a baby toad, it was "toad-ally" unexpected, sorry, I couldn't help myself. The toad was happy to go into my hand for a while, then I released it back into the wild, as it hopped slowly toward the grass. Elsa has come across an adult toad already and had no idea what to do about it. I hope you enjoy this short video.

I think our wet spring made the toads quite prolific this year. I've seen quite a few babies and a number of larger adults around the yard. They're always fun to see, and of course, we've got plenty of bugs for them to eat their fill!
