Hooked up the wagon to the baler hopped on the fender with the farmer while he filled up the wagon ! Then he told me to take the Massey down the hill and go to the shed and BRING THE 1468 TO THE TOP OF THE HILL AND PULL THE WAGON DOWN WITH THAT 😊😊😊😊😊😅

We sure have had some GREAT weather for making hay!! The rain has stayed away and that means you can make hay every day. NOW we NEED RAIN!! It is getting too dry. If anyone knows a good rain dance or has a special rain prayer NOW is the time to us it!! Hoping it rains soon!! Thanks 😢.

My cousin told me this. Dad planted sorghum , it rained just rite. It got 18 ft tall. Dad took his a John deere and 1 row chopper and wagon. The a did not have enough guts to do the job. They wound the a up wide open , hooked a chain to the a pulled it across the field with another tractor. Chopped the whole patch of feed. I think this happen in the 50's , about the time my uncle started milking cattle. Show this to your dad!

Great haying weather. Hopefully you get rain after first crop is done. If your chopper knives are sharp and the cutter bar is set right keeping the chopper full makes really nice chopped hay or corn silage. But everyone knows the limits the equipment can handle. God bless

I wish I was living close by when you need that extra help during haying or whenever. I'd be there with bells on! I worked on a dairy farm during two summer breaks in high school and university, in Deep Creek, British Columbia, Canada and watching your videos makes me very nostalgic for it

Very very interesting way of doing a pile with leftover silage !! Being an old shopper Operator, but not with that kind of ground sloping makes me nervous😂. You sure just don’t unhook your wagon anywhere. Thanks man.

My nerves couldn't handle those hills with a loaded wagon being in a chain behind the tractor and chopper. I bet that makes for an interesting ride if the field gets damp. We used to run a Field Queen self propelled chopper towing a Dump Chief side dumper wagon. The Queen had a transmission drive motor hose explode while climbing out of a valley, and I promise you, that makes for some ruined underwear. Luckily the brakes held good enough to ease it back down the hill.

With your terrain, you definitely need a tractor with front assist and plenty of weight and power to safely handle the chopper and a loaded ensilage wagon. Glad you're off and running on first cut!!!

the slops are fine if you think of what you are doing , we had lots of hilly land , years ago we used 2WD tractors for this work as you must have too but 4WD makes it so much easier and safer , its great when you get a days chopping like that where it just goes like clockwork , hopefully you last bit goes the same way

I miss the Oliver out there doing something to help out. I know he's down and getting old, and the JD's are new and strong and exciting and wired and fast, but I still miss the old Oliver for some reason. I don't feel you've given up on him, but he has special needs that take time. Fingers crossed he makes a comeback!

I don't see how your nutritionist is ever able to balance a ration for your herd. The way you mix different silages together your cows never get the same ration two days in a row. So much for consistence.
