We use to have an icecream maker like that. Mom use to make vanilla icecream with fresh strawberries or peanut butter icecream with chocolate chips. Oh so very good.

I had to search this to make sure my childhood memories were correct. I sort of remember making peach ice cream in a hand crack type bucket like this and put rock salt in it, then started questioning myself. lol it IS a bucket. Also , not trying to be antagonistic, but cellulose isn't really a compound I'd be worried about, there are far worse things. Cellulose is just plant material you wont digest into sugar unless you're a cow and have the enzymes in your stomach to do so, it's harmless unless you ate so much you clogged your small intestines or something. For instance, if you eat a small bit of paper, it would just come out the other end.

Cellulose is definitely the least thing to be worried about in store bought ice cream

Just today I was milking my goat thinking about making a fresh batch of ice cream for me and my sweety. I too have tried a few recipes and I find that I like the custard style, but the grand kids don't care as long as it's yummy. I make sure that everyone has a turn at the handle to keep it going. Over the Christmas holiday I made a nice egg nog ice cream, I get suggestions all the time for new kinds of flavors. Love your videos Keep em coming. Jani

Oh my, growing up we did this many, many times at grandmas. Sometimes 2 or 3 different freezers at the same time and as kids we sat on a thick towel or ?? holding down the freezer while my dad and his brothers cranked away! Fresh peach was my favorite and still is!!

Some of these brands will say it’s all natural but really it’s just good marketing. There’s this Canadian show that I watch on KZbin called CBC marketplace, on the show they have Hidden cameras and they go into all sorts of places to show us what’s really going on from terrible repairs to what’s in your premium orange juice, and that’s where I found out about a lot of these things. They have a show that talks about what’s in your bottled water, health food versus junk food and all sorts of things.

Thank you so much for watching and for leaving such a beautiful comment! It touched our hearts deeply. What a large family you come from and what a wonderful blessing to have such roots! As for the ice cream maker you can find this kind of ice cream maker at Lehman's, I've linked it below. They have others that look as nice or nicer so you may want to check those out. Thank you again and may God bless you! www.lehmans.com/p-2603-white-mountain-6-qt-hand-cranked-ice-cream-freezer.aspx

@frodobaggins115 Ours is a White Mountain and you can order them off of the net in several places. My dear sister got this for us as a gift to replace one we had that had worn out LOL. Our original White Mt had been given to us and at that time I'm guessing but think it was 20 plus years old. We had it for over 10 years after it was given to us. The new one is a 1 1/2 gallon, the original was only a gallon. Just do a google for White Mt churns and it will pull up dealers. Blessings!

@SuperAmys2 Thank you! Acutally I guess we never really thought much about doing a vid on homeschooling. We really do a "hands on" approach (love Dorthy and Raymond Moores: The Moore Formula) so it might be hard to pin on vids, except for just daily living. Do you have a particular form of schooling you do? Having never thought about vids on homeschooling before I am finding your suggestion very interesting. Thanks for the thought! Blessings: The Winans
