Hope you dig the spacey synth tones, gang. I had totally forgotten I had this video from 42 Gear Street just sitting there waiting to be released. It was so much fun getting to hang with Enrico in real life. He's such a kind creative soul, and his pedal are magical. If this video doesn't make you wanna check out the Moai Maea Analog Octaver some more, then I can't help you. That thing just sounds otherworldly huge!!! :D

I would LOVE to hear a dedicated Moai Maea demo by you man. Don’t know if you own it, or if there’s a way to get one for a demo, but that pedal has you written all over it, imo. Would love to see what you make with it!

I've been waiting for a video of you playing the Moai Maea since its been on the shelf behind you haha, what a killer looking pedal ! I'd realllllyyyy like you doing a longer demo of it, to see how it deals with chords (like super glitchy or okay glitchy ?), and how it tracks on synths :)
@thepedalzone4 жыл бұрын
I've used the Moai Maea in a lot of my videos. Like my recent video on the OBNE Signal Blender and my last Halloween Special or the KMA Tyler for instance. So it's made a ton of guest appearances 😊It's a 100% analog octaver, so it's only monophonic. So you can't play chords. They will glitch out. It tracks great on mono synths. It's amazing for making smaller synths sound huge.
@TheBloodyBeat4 жыл бұрын
@@thepedalzone Thanks for answering, as always :) sorry for missing on the guest appearances ! I remember now seeing it in your demo of the Tyler, I'll go back to the two other you mentionned. I never owned an octaver, I always find them to sound very much like 70s rock which I am not particularly drawn to. But this one sounds so big, I think it could boost my post-rocky leads right through the roof. One last question, can it cope single note tremolo picking ?
@thepedalzone4 жыл бұрын
Moai Maea definitely is special. I’m typically more into digital pitch shifting effects, but the Moai Maea, as you so correctly stated, simply sounds so big! It’s seriously larger than life tones. The only analog Octaver I’ve truly loved and would happily gig any day of the week 👌 And yeah, it’ll handle tremolo picking perfectly fine 👍

Your kind words go straight to heart, man! Thank you so much ❤ I sadly can't really teach what I do, since I have no clue what I'm doing. I'm just using my ears and the very limited muscle memory I have. I know practically nothing when it comes to music theory.
@Alchemist33334 жыл бұрын
@@thepedalzone I hear you man. Your playing always sounds so good. Maybe then you could share some ideas of what work for you? How about some chord shapes and some lead ideas, that way I can noodle and make my own stuff?

It's so hard to choose!!! I want ALL THE PEDALS!!!! I'm going to have to start just making several different pedal boards that do different things rather than a single board that I always use. A pedal board with more than 10-12 pedals is cumbersome IMO .... but how to choose?!

I'm pretty sure there's several stores in the US that carry KMA. I know that CME does for a fact. And luckily KMA gear is pretty fairly priced, so you can actually pick one up new without breaking the bank 😊 Because yes, KMA makes absolutely amazing stuff! More people need to hear it in real life.

That was fun : D !!! Years ago I went to a Ultravox concert where I discovered that the sounds I always thought were synths where guitars, and some of the the sounds that I thought were guitar was synths and to make it even weirder they changed around on who was playing what. So: " Do not try and bend the guitar, that's impossible. Instead, only try to realize the truth... there is no guitar. Then you will see it is not the pedal that bends, it is only yourself"
