Me and my daughter are watching this from the UK. I do not usually comment on videos. However, my daughter who is 6 told me I have to comment and tell you how amazing the necklace is, and its the most beautiful thing she has seen. She now wants to go hunt stones on our beach! 😊

Please tell your daughter thank you very much and that her comment made my day!! Send me an email at rockhoundinglife@gmail.com and ill plan to send her some goodies (rocks).

Thank you for your reply. My daughter read your comment and was so happy! We went to our beach, with no clue as to what we were looking for. The ones my daughter chose have beautiful colouring ( we tried to add a pic to the comment, but couldnt figure out how to do that ), not so sure if that will continue throughout the center of the stones we have collected...... Alyssa is now trying to convince me to purchase a lapidary saw so we can find out!

I like both sides. They are both interesting to look at and different from each other. Makes the piece more interesting. Thanks for posting.

I choose both, once again I enjoyed watching you make beautiful rocks into beautiful jewelry. But I loved the petrified wood slab from circle cliffs.

Great video! Where did you get that piece that turns your tile saw into a trim saw and what is it called, please?
@RockhoundingLife11 ай бұрын
The saw i am using in this video in not a tile saw. It is made for lapidary. If you are talking about the vice it comes as an add on for the saw through the manufacturer Hi-Tech Diamond.

Very nice! I just saw some similar pendants and almost bought a set of them to try this 😅 I ended up passing on them and I’m looking for some other similar styles though. I like how that came out! Very nice.

They are definitely cool. It's the same style I used for the last Maker's Challenge video if you caught it.

That's so funny I just bought a bag of those spinner moons. That is what I am going to do with them too, with rocks from NS.

Can I choose both????? Lovely work sir, I can think of a number of rocks I'd like to see in this type of setting too.

A beautiful stone in the rough and even better when finished. Do you ever burnish the edges or only rely on the glue. Either way is good. A wonderful piece. I like the jasper side the best. Thank you for sharing! 😊 😷⚒

Hello, where do you purchase your pendants? I found a few on Amazon but is there a better place with more choice
@RockhoundingLife11 ай бұрын
I purchase them on Etsy.

Love it! Both sides are awesome but the pink side would be my favourite. Is this going on Etsy?
@RockhoundingLife11 ай бұрын
I don't think so. It's in high demand around my house. I will be making more though and putting on Etsy.

How much larger do you make your stencil outline so you get the right circumference for your cabision?
@RockhoundingLife11 ай бұрын
The stencil is more of a guide. Once I am close I will continually stop and check if the piece fits the bezel. Once it is snug I stop.
@jamesrich846311 ай бұрын
What type of glue are we using here? Can you just learn to make cabs just by doing it vs going to a class to learn. I watched you there, and I worry about making uneven and stuff but maybe it works out good if you keep the stone moving around and eyeball it. Looks good.
@RockhoundingLife11 ай бұрын
I am using a lapidary/jewelry grade CA. I am self taught by practice. I eyeball everything. It is not going to be perfect but with more and more practice your mistakes become less and less noticeable to the naked eye.

I love the double sided piece!! They both look reptilian.... my friends would love that too!😂
@bethbartlett56926 ай бұрын
What type of metal are you using for the settings? I've found some pieces in silver that are most affordable. The value then obviously spikes and it is worth it for the beauty of the stones. + !
@RockhoundingLife6 ай бұрын
For most stones I use a silver aluminum alloy bezel but for some select stones I use a .925 Sterling silver bezel.
