The spool of thread is held by a bobbin. A bodkin is basically a needle mounted in a plastic handle.

Did I say bodkin? And the spool I believe is the bobbin, and held by a bobbin holder. Sorry if I said bodkin. Yes the bodkin is the needle

Awesome! Congrats! Yeah that’s a great vise! I do have lots of saltwater patterns yes. I think I even have a playlist for all my saltwater patterns. Look through it and try what you like.

Nice little jig. But why don't you just get collarless jigs? Makes it a whole lot easier.
