Making Maserati Seats.

Maserati, Ferrari and Lancia were using the same seat hinges in the 1960s . So there’s an opportunity I thought to myself “I can make those chairs !” A lot of stuff is missing from the Gold Mistral and what I can’t find I’m having to make.
But the thing is that there is a lot of cross over with the parts with other manufacturers. So if you keep a keen eye you might be able to find what you’re missing. Door handles also used by Alfa Romeo, Lancia , Ferrari and even found on the Renault Alpine! So there you go let’s make some stuff !

Thanks for sharing your knowledge and skills. Watching you use a hacksaw reminds me of my father (who was a tool maker with OCD ) telling me back in the 50s as a very young boy that I “was using a 12inch hacksaw blade and not a 2inch blade. That was his way of teaching. In the 60s with long hair he took a long look at me over his newspaper and said “ son you look like a wee sparrow peeping through a hedge “ Got a haircut the next Saturday. 😂😂😂😂 Once again thanks for posting. 👌

Do it as soon as you can ! Try and get someone to show you the basics or go on a course. It’s a really useful skill and you can make so many things if you can stick two bits of metal together. I would be really pleased if I can inspire you to take up welding !

Well if you can’t buy it then you are going to have to make it ! One day if I ever get the opportunity I’ll make one of those cars that I can’t buy ! Maserati a6g Zagato or an Otto Vu just daydreaming.
