The work continues with preparations for the replacement of the rocker panels and chassis outriggers. This Maserati Mistral 4000 is an important car as its first owner was Umberto Maglioli . Who was a works driver for Ferrari, Lancia , Porsche and Maserati !

It is indeed such an honour for you to work on Maglioli's car Mark. I would find it daunting the work you have to do on this, but I guess you break it down little-by-little. I am really looking forward to seeing the car completed. Amazing attention to detail to replicate the original build. It will be a beauty one day!

Hi 🙋 Mark. It’s completely crazy 🤪 to see how much work going in a Restaration like you do it . I bought my Mistral from EBay USA and I see that the car has have no Bodywork. And it comes like I see it.!!! So im very lucky to interpret the EBay picture right . But still after 5 years of rebuilding the car ( 2500 hours later ) I know how much work it will be with a Body like that.

Yes it is a huge job but it is a significant car especially as it was Umberto’s !
